Start spreading generosity
Simple, creative projects that help children, youth, and families share God’s love through the joy of generosity.
Project Handful
You just need one handful to make a difference; to create a ripple of impact. It could be a handful of food, like rice or maize; it could be seeds, small toys, notes of encouragement — whatever is available in your household or community.
A little goes a long way. Use your handful to cook a meal, bless a neighbor, support your church, or create something simple and kind. Community unity is powerful.
The goal is simple: to show children and youth that even small gifts or items can make a big difference when shared together with love.
Project Backpack
Ask Jesus to show you someone who could use encouragement — a child, friend, parent, or perhaps a friend who might be going through a tough time. Pray, then pack them a bag of encouragement.
Use whatever container you have on hand and fill it with small, meaningful gifts: food items, soap or toothpaste, school supplies, or a handwritten message with Scripture. Before packing, pray and ask God what this person needs. He knows best. You can do a few backpacks or bags if you like. Remember, Jesus said: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35)
Let children and youth help pack and deliver the items, making it an exciting hands-on experience to live out the joy of Biblical Generosity.
Project Heart-to-Home
Generosity starts at home — or at least on your street. Encourage children and youth to show love where they live through simple, intentional acts of kindness: visit an elderly neighbor, help someone with chores, or get together as a family and write cards or notes of encouragement.
And don’t keep the joy to yourselves. As a global Body of Christ, let’s celebrate these moments of generosity together! Capture these moments of joy, surprise or tears through photos, short videos, or even voice notes. Whether it’s a tearful “thank you” or a smile caught on camera, your story could inspire others to shine light in their neighborhoods.
We’d love to share some of these special testimonies in our next newsletter or on our social media platforms. Prefer to stay anonymous? No problem. Voice notes let you share your story while we keep identities private — and we turn them into joyful animated clips like this one.
Let’s spread a global wave of Christ-centered kindness - one doorstep at a time.
Want to share your generosity story? Here are three quick how-tos to help you capture it creatively and safely:
How to film an interview with your mobile phone
How to film like a pro using your mobile phone
How to send an audio message on WhatsApp
These tools make it easy to document your projects and share the joy of generosity in ways that are safe, meaningful, and inspiring.
Churches can even host a “Generosity Sunday” and set up a pop-up booth at church or school to collect short videos or voice notes. Children can share what they did, while you capture and celebrate these everyday acts of generosity that reflect Jesus’ love — together, as a community.
